Ben Daglish (born July 31, 1966 in London - † October 1, 2018 ) was a British musician and composer. He was best known as the composer of numerous successful theme pieces for home computer games in the 1980s and 1990s.
Life
Ben Daglish was born in Chiswick , London in 1966 . In his early youth he moved to Sheffield . There he was active as a percussionist and conductor in the City Of Sheffield Youth Orchestra. In the early 1980s he began composing and programming music for computer games . He later worked as a composer and artist for various theater companies and was an actor and musician in many places such as B. Belfast , Tuscany and Jerusalem . Then he played on a wide variety of instruments with various ensembles - including the group "Loscoe State Opera". Occasionally he appeared with the Danish rock band Press Play on Tape , which dresses C64 - Chiptunes in rock or pop clothing. In addition to his artistic work, Ben Daglish worked as a consultant and programmer .
Daglish lived in Derbyshire with his family . He died of lung cancer in October 2018 at the age of 52 .
