Bernd Cibis (born May 1, 1922 in Ober Salzbrunn , Waldenburg district , Lower Silesia ; † June 3, 1988 in Düsseldorf ) was a German writer .

Life

Bernd Cibis is a son of Amand Johann Cibis (1878–1960), who came from Waldenburg , and his wife Gisela Cibis, born in Cochem . Schunck (1886-1981). After attending a humanistic grammar school , Bernd Cibis trained as an industrial clerk . From 1941 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier in the Wehrmacht and suffered four wounds , some of them severe . From 1946 he was active in the profession he had learned in Ergste . He also worked as a proofreader and lecturer at an institute for distance learning in Bad Harzburg . He was particularly interested in hunting and ornithology . From 1979 Cibis was a freelance writer.

Bernd Cibis was the author of novels and books for young people , most of which belong to the animal book genre; he also wrote essays and poems . Cibis was a member of the Association of German Writers , the Authors 'Circle Ruhr-Mark and the Esslingen Artists' Guild .

Bernd Cibis had an older brother, Hans Kuno Hubert Cibis, who was born on August 20, 1920, but who had fallen to the rank of first lieutenant during World War II on October 17, 1943 near Podluschje in Belarus .
