Bernd Flessner (born November 24, 1957 in Göttingen ) is a German futurologist , writer , journalist and media scientist .

Life

Bernd Flessner grew up in Greetsiel- Krummhörn in East Friesland and studied theater and media studies, German and history in Erlangen , where he started a thesis on “World prostheses and prosthetic worlds. On the technical prognoses of Arno Schmidt and Stanislaw Lems “ on the Dr. phil. received his doctorate. He writes scientific books, essays and literary reviews for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung , mare , Kursbuch and Theater heute as well as crime novels, science fiction and children's books. From 1991 to 2010 he taught German at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg . Since 2011 he has been a research assistant at the Central Institute for Scientific Reflection and Key Qualifications (ZiWiS) at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is a member of the syndicate . Some of his works have also appeared in English, Hungarian, Afrikaans, Korean, Slovenian and Chinese.

Flessner lives in Uehlfeld .
