Bernd Walter (humorist)

Bernd Walter (* 1962 in Strasburg (Uckermark) , district of Vorpommern-Greifswald ) is a German humorist , moderator and entertainer .

Life

Walter grew up as the son of a forester near the Stettiner Haff in Western Pomerania . In 1985 he began his career in the state-organized show business of the GDR . He was a three-time winner of the talent show Bong on GDR television and produced songs and albums for the East Berlin record label AMIGA . With mood songs like water march! or Bad luck seldom comes alone , he continued his stage career.

In October 1990 Bernd Walter was entrusted with the moderation of the then very popular Saturday evening show Ein Kessel Buntes on GDR television. After the collapse of the entertainment industry in East Germany, he became the presenter of the radio show Hitskopf on the NDR radio program in 1992 . A year later, Walter presented the 15-part TV magazine Mondays on the newly founded MDR television .

In 1994 he showed himself again as a TV presenter and comedian in the comedy series Alles Natsch at this station . Among his prominent stage partners were u. a. the former UFA actress Ilse Werner and Anita Kupsch and Heinz Rennhack .

He recorded a CD with the title Just Be a Minister and was hired as a humorist in Inka Bause's annual MDR show Christmas with us from 2004 to 2007 . Walter describes his profession as a mouth worker .

Occasionally he also had theater appearances. So he played in the production of Vera Oelschlegel in Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard in the ensemble of the Theater des Ostens touring theater in five countries, a. a. also in Salzburg and Bayreuth . Bernd Walter played the hotel manager in the comedy Die Millionärin by George Bernard Shaw , directed by Kurt Veth .

In 2009 he presented the tour program Schlagergrüße im Spring with the musical guests Patrick Lindner , the Naabtal Duo and Monika Herz and son David.

After her death in summer 2009, Bernd Walter was appointed administrator of the written estate of GDR television favorite Margot Ebert and her husband Wilfried Ortmann . He lives alternately in Berlin , Western Pomerania and on the Oberuckersee .
