Wilfried Ortmann

Wilfried Ortmann (born April 10, 1924 in Calbe an der Milde ; † March 3, 1994 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Ortmann first took acting lessons in Magdeburg . From there he came to Berlin via Schleswig , Magdeburg, Chemnitz , Erfurt and Dresden in 1951, where he initially worked at the Deutsches Theater and between 1954 and 1994 at the Volksbühne .

He made his film debut in 1953 alongside Susanne Düllmann in Martin Hellberg's production film Das kleine und das große Glück . Then he played in the GDR propaganda film Ernst Thälmann - son of his class . His embodiment of the gangster Hasso Teschendorf in Richard Groschopp's Ware for Catalonia after an authentic criminal case was one of his first memorable roles. Later he often appeared on television, including as Colonel Krösing in the multi-part television series Das invichtbare Visier .

Ortmann was married to the actress and presenter Margot Ebert . Among other things, he was awarded the GDR Art Prize.
