Bill O'Connell (born August 22, 1953 in New York City ) is an American jazz musician ( piano , keyboard , composition ) of modern jazz and Latin jazz .

O'Connell studied piano at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and worked in the New York jazz scene from the early 1970s; The first recordings were made in 1975 with Bob Emry / Greg Bobulinski ( The Tortured Prophet ) In the following years he played a. a. with Mongo Santamaría , Dave Valentin , Janet Lawson, from the 1990s also with the New York Voices , Emily Remler , Charles Fambrough , Jon Lucien , Nnenna Freelon , Gato Barbieri and Bobby Vince Paunetto .
