Confluence of the Marsbach (back left) and Morre (back right) to the Billbach (front)

Marsbach

The Marsbach or Morsbach rises southeast of Walldürn near the historic Roman bathhouse . It flows in a north-westerly direction through Walldürn parallel to federal highway 47 to Rippberg , where it takes up the Eiderbach . Then the Marsbach passes the state border to Bavaria. It is the right and, at 16.4 km, the shorter and less watery source stream.

Morre

The 22.3 km long Morre , also called Saubach in the Bavarian Unterlauf , has its source on the outskirts of Hettingen . It runs west through the city of Buchen , bends to the northwest and takes on the Hollerbach . The Morre flows through Hettigenbeuern to Bavaria and reaches Zittenfelden . To the west of Schneeberg the Morre joins the Marsbach to form the Billbach. It is the left source stream.

course

The Bill stream passes below after the confluence of its source streams, the Federal Highway 47 and flows through Amorbach . On the north-western outskirts of the city, it joins the 17.6 km long Mud at the beginning of the federal highway 469 , below the Gotthardsberg (304 m) . From the confluence to the Main it is 7.7 kilometers of the river.
