Billie Lourd (* 17th July 1992 in Los Angeles , California as Billie Catherine Lourd ) is an American actress .

Life

Billie Lourd was born in July 1992 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are actress Carrie Fisher, who died in 2016, and talent scout Bryan Lourd. She is the granddaughter of actress Debbie Reynolds, who also died in 2016, and singer Eddie Fisher ; she is also the niece of Todd Fisher, Joely Fisher and Tricia Leigh Fisher . Lourd studied Religious Studies and Psychology at New York University and graduated in 2014.

In June 2014, The Sun reported that Lourd would be given a role in the 2015 Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Shortly after the announcement, it was speculated that Lourd would play a younger version of Leia Organa , who her mother had already played. Lourd said no. After all, she was seen as Lieutenant Connix , which she embodied in the subsequent parts Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalkers .

From September 2015 to December 2016, Billie Lourd played a leading role as Sadie Swenson in the horror comedy television series Scream Queens . In 2017 she starred in the seventh season of the anthology series American Horror Story . In 2018 she starred alongside Emma Roberts and Ansel Elgort in the biography Billionaire Boys Club . In 2018 and 2019 she took on other leading roles in the eighth and ninth seasons of American Horror Story .
