Birgit Nössing (born August 19, 1982 in Bozen ) is an Italian journalist and presenter with a German mother tongue. She works for the sports channel Eurosport and lives in Munich .

life and career

After completing her journalism studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Birgit Nössing first wrote for the South Tyrolean daily newspaper Dolomiten and Welt am Sonntag .

Her career as a television journalist began in 2006 with the news channel N24 in Berlin. She reported there on the 2008 presidential election in the United States in Washington, DC and in February 2010 on the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver .

She had her first appearance as a presenter in August 2010 on ProSieben Newstime . From 2011 to 2017 she was a news presenter on Sky Sport News HD . There she also produced films and reports. In "Dreaming America" ​​Nössing portrays a soccer team made up of refugees. The film illustrates how sport can be used as a means of integration.

In October 2014, together with Ronald Rauhe , she moderated the junior athlete of the year award ceremony for Deutsche Sporthilfe in Potsdam .
