history

The diocese Atlacomulco was established on November 3, 1984 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem ad plenius from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Toluca and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mexico City as a suffragan .
