The Roman Catholic Diocese of Granada ( Latin Dioecesis granadensis , Spanish diócesis de Granada ) is an in Nicaragua located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Granada . It includes the three departments of Granada , Rivas and Boaco .
history
Pope Pius X. founded the diocese on December 2, 1913 from cessions of territory from the diocese of León en Nicaragua . On July 21, 1962, it lost part of the territory to the Juigalpa Territorial Prelature .
