The Diocese of La Rioja ( Latin Dioecesis Rioiensis , Spanish diócesis de La Rioja ) is one in Argentina situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in La Rioja .
history
The diocese of La Rioja was founded on April 20, 1934 by Pope Pius XI. built from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Córdoba . The diocese is subordinate to the Archdiocese of San Juan de Cuyo as a suffragan .
