The Diocese of San Vicente ( Latin Dioecesis Sancti vincentii , Spanish diócesis de San Vicente ) is in El Salvador situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Ciudad San Vicente . It includes the department of San Vicente .

history

The diocese of San Vicente was on December 18, 1943 by Pope Pius XII. from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of San Salvador , to which it was subordinated as a suffragan . On May 5, 1987 it lost part of the territory to the diocese of Zacatecoluca .
