The Roman Catholic Diocese of Santa Clara ( lat. : Dioecesis Sanctae clarae ) is an on Cuba situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Santa Clara .
history
Pope John Paul II founded the diocese on April 1, 1995 by dividing the diocese of Cienfuegos-Santa Clara ; it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Santiago de Cuba as a suffragan .
On December 5, 1998, it became part of the Camagüey Church Province .
