The Diocese of Yagoua ( lat. : Dioecesis Yaguanus ) is in Cameroon situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Yagoua .

history

The diocese of Yagoua was on March 11, 1968 by Pope Paul VI. established from the cession of territory by the Diocese of Garoua as the Apostolic Prefecture of Yagoua . On January 29, 1973, the Apostolic Prefecture Yagoua was by Paul VI. raised to the diocese and subordinated to the archdiocese of Yaoundé as a suffragan . The diocese of Yagoua was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Garoua as a suffragan on March 18, 1982.
