Oleh Mykolajowytsch Blåhøj ( Ukrainian Олег Миколайович Благой , Russian Олег Николаевич Благой / Oleg Nikolayevich Blagoi; * 4. December 1979 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian hockey player who most of his career at HK Sokil Kyiv in the Ukrainian Hockey League played.

Career

Oleh Blahoj began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HK Sokil Kiev , for whom he played in the East European Hockey League at the age of 16 . Also in the episode he played mainly for HK Sokil, with whom he won the East European Hockey League in 1999 and was Ukrainian champion in 2003, 2004 and 2005 . But he was also successful for other Kiev clubs. He was also Ukrainian national champion with HK Berkut Kiev in 2002, with HK ATEK Kiev in 2007 and 2015 and with HK Kompanjon-Naftohas Kiev in 2014. He also played with Sokil but also with various Belarusian clubs in the Belarusian extra league . With Sokil Kiev he also played in the Russian Wysschaya League , the second highest division there , in 2007/08 . After spending the 2015/16 season in Romania, he returned to Ukraine and ended his career at HK Bilyj Bars Bila Tserkwa .

International

For Ukraine Blahoj took part in the junior division in the U18-B-European championship 1996 and the U18-A-European championship 1997 as well as the U20-B-world championship 1999 .

In the senior division, he was part of his country's squad at the World Championships in the top division in 2007 and in division I in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , where the Ukrainians could not qualify for the games.
