Blaignan is a former French commune in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine with 469 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). The inhabitants are called Blaignanais .
On January 1, 2019, Blaignan was merged with Prignac-en-Médoc to form the Commune nouvelle Blaignan-Prignac , based in Blaignan. Blaignan has the status of a Commune déléguée .
