Blake Colin Lewis (born July 21, 1981 in Redmond , Washington ) is an American singer-songwriter and beatboxer . In 2007, he participated in the sixth season of American Idol , reaching second place.
Life
Blake Lewis was born on July 21, 1981 in Redmond, Washington to Dallas and Dinah Lewis. He went to Kenmore Junior High and then to Inglemoor High School . He took an early interest in rap and beatboxing . He has mastered the guitar as well as the piano and drums and has performed with bands and as a solo artist.

Lewis took part in the sixth season of the American talent show American Idol . He reached the finals, where he lost to Jordin Sparks .

All of the songs Lewis sang were released as a Blake Lewis EP on iTunes following the show . The songs You Give Love a Bad Name and Time of the Season included were included in the Billboard Hot 100 .
Lewis took part in the 59 concerts American Idols Live! Tour 2007 part.
Lewis' first solo album was released in December 2007, ADD (Audio Day Dream) . It reached number ten on the US album charts . The successor Heartbreak on Vinyl was released in October 2009 and, at chart position 135, could not build on the success of the first album.
Your Touch , the first single of his third album Portrait of a Chameleon , released in March 2013. She gained international notoriety by its use in a commercial for the Internet Explorer 10 from Microsoft .
In 2015 he took over voice and beatboxing in a single from Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, which is a cover of the song Radioactive by the music group Imagine Dragons .
