Blaseowitz , Polish Błażejowice , is a village in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Czissek (Cisek) in the powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski in the Opole Voivodeship .
geography
Blaseowitz is 10 km south of the township seat Czissek , 17 km south of the district town Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Kandrzin-Cosel) and 56 km south of the voivodeship capital Opole .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1440 as Von Blazegowitz . In 1563 the place was owned by Nikolaus Lassot, followed by the Counts of Oppersdorf . In 1830 the place had 219 inhabitants.
In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 140 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 160 for Poland. Blaseowitz remained with the entire district of Cosel in the German Empire. In 1925 the place had 399 inhabitants. In 1935 the place was renamed Altweiler . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Cosel .
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration, was renamed Błażejowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 Blaseowitz became part of the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the re-established Powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski . On October 11, 2007, the place was given the official German place name Blaseowitz , in September 2008 bilingual place name signs were put up.
