The municipality of Czissek (Polish Gmina Cisek ) is a rural municipality in the powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski (Kandrzin-Cosel district) in the Opole Voivodeship . The municipality seat is Czissek (Cisek). The community is bilingual in Polish and German.

In addition to the Polish population, 3013 people (42.9%) stated German nationality (ethnicity) in the 2002 census. In the 2011 census, the percentage of Germans was 30.9% or 1855 people.
In the 2002 census, Czissek, Klein Strehlitz and Zembowitz were the only three municipalities in Poland that were predominantly inhabited by Germans.

Community leader
The head of the municipal administration is the municipality leader . Since 2008 this is Rajmund Frischko from the German minority. The regular election in October 2018 brought the following result:
- Rajmund Frischko ( German Minority Election Committee ) 73.3% of the vote
- Elżbieta Sączawa (Independent Electoral Committee for Cisek Municipality) 26.7% of the vote
This means that Frischko was re-elected in the first ballot.
Municipal council
The municipal council consists of 15 members and is directly elected in single-person constituencies. The 2018 municipal council election led to the following result:
- German minority electoral committee 50.1% of the votes, 9 seats
- Independent electoral committee for the municipality of Cisek 45.4% of the vote, 5 seats
- Election committee of the active for the municipality of Cisek 4.5% of the votes, 1 seat

The municipality of Czissek maintains partnerships with Breitungen / Werra in Thuringia and Körperich in Rhineland-Palatinate.
