Niesnaschin , Polish Nieznaszyn , is a village in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Czissek (Cisek) in the powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski in the Opole Voivodeship .
geography
Niesnaschin is located 6 km south of the Czissek municipal seat , 13 km south of the district town of Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Kandrzin-Cosel) and 52 km south of the voivodeship capital Opole .
history
The place was founded in 1376 and first mentioned as Nieznassin . In 1532 the place was called Nietznaschin.
In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 178 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 77 for Poland. Niesnaschin remained with the German Empire. In 1936 the place was renamed Scheinau . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Cosel .
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration, was renamed Nieznaszyn and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 Niesnaschin became part of the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the re-established Powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski . On October 11, 2007 the place was given the official German place name Niesnaschin , in September 2008 bilingual place name signs were put up.
