Roschowitzwald , Polish Roszowicki Las , is a village in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Czissek (Cisek) in the powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski in the Opole Voivodeship .

Roschowitzwald is four kilometers south of the municipality seat Czissek , 12 kilometers south of the district town of Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Kandrzin-Cosel) and 50 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole .
history
The place was founded in 1750 as a Vorwerk . In 1845 the place had 628 inhabitants.
In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 116 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 377 for Poland. Roschowitzwald remained with the entire Cosel constituency in the German Empire. In 1936 the place was renamed Eichrode . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Cosel .
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration, was renamed Roszowicki Las and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 Roschowitzwald became part of the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the re-established Powiat Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski . On October 11, 2007 the place was given the official place name Roschowitzwald , in September 2008 bilingual place name signs were put up.
