The Bleicherode – Stadtrodaer Scholle is located entirely in Thuringia , north-east central of the four Hercynian , ie from northwest to southeast running main clods in the area of ​​the Thuringian Basin and its edge plates .

Limitations

To the southwest, the Bleicherode – Stadtrodaer Scholle is bounded by the Schlotheim – Leuchtenburg fault zone , beyond which the Mühlhausen – Orlamünder Scholle of the southwest Thuringian Basin connects; To the northwest it borders on the Ohmgebirgs graben zone , which separates it from the Eichsfeld plaice . To the northeast it borders on the Finns fault zone , beyond which the Hermundurian plaice , which seals off the Thuringian Basin, connects.
