action
On the street in Baden-Baden , a confused man asks passers-by who he is and where he is from. One of the passers-by takes the man in a tuxedo suit to Bloch's practice, where she herself was once a patient. Bloch immediately realizes that the man is suffering from significant memory loss due to trauma. He takes the stranger home because he doesn't believe in the hospital's methods. He tries to make his memory accessible to the man, who he now calls Albert, by naming general events in the past. But Albert is stonewalling. He wants to know who he is, but the fear of finding out what he has suffered before is even greater. When an object evokes memory a little in him, he needs Bloch's help to deal with it for himself.
