Bo Nordby Tranholm , b. Nordby Andersen , (born March 22, 1979 in Aalborg ) is a former Danish ice hockey player .
Career
Bo Nordby Tranholm began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of AaB Ishockey , for whose professional team he was active from 1994 to 1997 in the AL-Bank Ligaen , the highest Danish division. Then the attacker played for a year for his league rival Hvidovre ishockey . The 1998/99 season he began with the Odessa Jackalopes in the Western Professional Hockey League , before he spent another two and a half years at AaB Ishockey. The 2001/02 season he started at Gislaveds SK in HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division, and finished it at Herning Blue Fox in Denmark. Since 2002 he has been playing again for AaB Ishockey in the AL-Bank Ligaen. Only during the 2010/11 season did he take a break from ice hockey. His biggest success with Aalborg was winning the Danish Cup competition in 2007. Following the 2011/12 season, he retired at the age of 33.
International
For Denmark , Nordby Tranholm took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1996 and 1997 , the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1997 and 1998 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 1999 .
In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 1998 , 1999 , 2000 and 2002 and at the A World Championships in 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 and 2008 .
