In search of a new challenge, the American moved to Europe for the 2008/09 season . An initially agreed engagement with the Rødovre Mighty Bulls from the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen did not materialize due to financial difficulties on the part of the club. Already in the first mission of three later missions, however, he suffered a head injury that made him announce his retirement from active sport after two more games for Providence in the AHL at the end of the game year.
