Boderndorf is a district of the Upper Franconian town of Neustadt bei Coburg in the Coburg district .

location

Boderndorf is located about five kilometers southwest of Neustadt at the foot of the approximately one hundred and ten meter higher hill Stiefvater. Communal roads lead to Kemmaten , Neustadt and Wellmersdorf .

history

Boderndorf was first mentioned in 1149 in a document as "Lidebolde", with which the Würzburg Bishop Siegfried von Truhendingen confirmed that the newly founded Mönchröden Monastery had been given the village with all rights by Hermann Sterker , Burgrave of Meißen and his brother, Count Sterker . The village has had its current name since 1516. In 1501 there were six estates in Boderndorf. A brick factory was built in 1602 on the road to Wellmersdorf on the right, above the village pond. On May 24, 1913 at around two o'clock a fire destroyed the factory and three neighboring agricultural properties.

Boderndorf has been part of the Fechheim parish since the Middle Ages . In the first half of the 19th century, the children went to a prep school in Wellmersdorf . In June 1860 a school house for the students of the communities Wellmersdorf, Kemmaten, Boderndorf and Birkig was inaugurated there. From 1965 the upper school students had to go to school in Neustadt, from 1971 all students.

In a referendum on November 30, 1919, a Boderndorfer citizen voted for the Free State of Coburg to join the Thuringian state 27 were against. From July 1st, 1920 Boderndorf belonged to the Free State of Bavaria .

In the Reichstag election of March 5, 1933 , the NSDAP in Boderndorf received 17 of a total of 35 votes.

After a public survey on September 21, 1973, in which 24 of 42 eligible voters participated and 23 agreed to the incorporation into Neustadt, the incorporation into Neustadt followed on January 1, 1974.

The drinking water supply used to be through a house and a well. From 1939 onwards, a private water cooperative supplied five house connections. After 1967 the Spittelsteiner Group took over the water supply, followed in 1986 by the Neustadt municipal utility. From 1922 the electricity suppliers were the overland plant of the Gumpertschen mill in Mupperg and from August 1934 the Bamberg overland plant in Upper Franconia. In 1997 Stadtwerke Neustadt took over the power supply. In 1987 Boderndorf had 17 residential buildings, eight of which were built after 1949.

Attractions

The Klosenhof, a property with a farmhouse consisting of a two-story half-timbered building with a high arbor, is striking. The listed building was built in the late 18th century. It has a simple half-timbered construction on the ground floor and a decorative framework with St. Andrew's crosses and diamonds on the upper floor and in the gable. The self-supporting, covered high arbor, also known as the borrowing arbor, originally served as access to the upper floor. Since the installation of an internal staircase, it has been used as a drying area for small laundry.
