Mupperg in the Sonneberger Unterland is a district of the municipality of Föritztal in the district of Sonneberg in Thuringia .

Mupperg is located in the southwest of the municipality and with its southern district boundary directly on the border with Bavaria . The village church is located in the middle of the village, defining the townscape. In terms of arable farming, the land is located in the Oberlinder plain. The Steinach flows through the village . The district road 27 covers the place in terms of traffic.
history
Mupperg was first mentioned in a document on September 17, 1114.
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Mogger and Oerlsdorf were incorporated into Mupperg.
The agricultural town decided after 1990 to build an industrial area. There is a kindergarten. The parish, volunteer fire brigade and the SV 1920 Mupperg sports club help shape life in the village.
