Oerlsdorf is part of the municipality of Föritztal in the district of Sonneberg in Thuringia .

location

Oerlsdorf is close to the border with Bavaria . The village is located with Heubisch , Mupperg and Mogger in the southernmost tip of the Oberlinder plain in an agricultural area. The village is connected to the county road 27 by traffic .

history

Oerlsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1275. After the reunification , the farms in the southern district of Sonneberg merged to form Agrarprodukt Sonneberg eG with LPG Sonneberg. There is also a horticultural farm and other facilities.

On July 1, 1950, the village was incorporated into Mupperg and became part of Föritz in 1994 . On July 6, 2018, Föritz merged with other municipalities to form the new Föritztal municipality.
