Weidhausen is a part of the municipality of Föritztal in the district of Sonneberg in Thuringia .

Weidhausen is located north of the town of Föritz , west of federal highway 89 and near the state border with Bavaria .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document on October 4, 1252. On July 1, 1950, Weidhausen was incorporated into Föritz . Föritz went up on July 6, 2018 in the new municipality of Föritztal.
