Neuenbau is located in the far north of the municipality of Föritztal in a rural setting, surrounded by forest on slopes. Judenbach is to the south . The district road 31 leads through the scattered settlement . It is part of an old trade and military route from Nuremberg to Leipzig .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1672/35. The scattered settlement of the place resulted from the growing demands of the travelers and carters of the time. Freight journeys over the mountains had to be supported by a leader. Merchants and traders wanted to travel faster. The village developed these requirements. Campaigns were a hindrance. Borders were even more restrictive.
