Bogdan Petrovich Jakimow ( Russian Богдан Петрович Якимов ; English transcription: Bogdan Petrovich Yakimov ; born October 4, 1994 in Nizhnekamsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SKA Saint Petersburg from the Continental Hockey League (KHL) since May 2020 there plays on the position of the center .

Career

Bogdan Jakimow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth team of Reaktor Nizhnekamsk in the MHL . He spent 2012/13 in the Vysschaya Hockey League . Yakimov was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2013 in the third round as a total of 83 players by the Edmonton Oilers from the National Hockey League . The center debuted in the KHL during the 2013-14 season . In 2014, Yakimov went to North America and played a game for the Oilers. After two seasons in the AHL , he returned to Nizhnekamsk in 2016.

In November 2018 he first moved to HK Awangard Omsk , completed five KHL games for this and was then handed over to Severstal Tscherepowez , where he received a new two-year contract in summer 2019. At the beginning of May 2020, the striker was transferred to the top club SKA Saint Petersburg .

International

For Russia , Yakimov took part in the junior division at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament 2011 , the U18 Junior World Championship 2011 and the U18 Junior World Championship in 2012, as well as the U20 Junior World Championship in 2014 .
