Yevgeni Leonidovich Timkin ( Russian Евгений Леонидович Тимкин ; English transcription: Yevgeni Leonidovich Timkin ; born September 3, 1990 in Murmansk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been a member of the SKA Saint Petersburg from the Continental Hockey League (KHL) since May 2020 Contract stands and plays there on the position of the right winger .
Career
Yevgeny Timkin began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the HK Avangard Omsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2006 to 2008 . Then the winger played for two years for the professional team of HK Awangard in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , where he ran parallel for the junior team of the club in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga in the 2009/10 season. In the 2010/11 season he played for the Florida Everblades in the ECHL and also took part in the ECHL All-Star Game . The season itself, however, he ended with the Mississippi RiverKings in the Central Hockey League .
For the 2011/12 season Timkin was obliged by KHL participant Vitjas Chekhov and established himself as the club's regular player by the end of the 2012/13 season. He was then signed by HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk for three years and won the KHL championship trophy , the Gagarin Cup , with Metallurg in 2014 and 2016 . After seven seasons in the service of Metallurg, Timkin moved to league rivals SKA Saint Petersburg in May 2020 .
International
For Russia , Timkin took part in the 2010 U20 World Youth Championship . During the tournament, he prepared a goal in six games.
