societies

Løkin began his career at NSÍ Runavík , for whom he made his debut on matchday 11 of the 2005 season in the first division when he was 16 when he came on in the 80th minute when Einar Tróndargjógv was 0-1 . The game was lost away with 0-2. During the season he was used alternately in the first and second team. In the top league he was already a regular for the first team this year. He scored his first goal in the top Faroese division on matchday two in a 5-2 away win against VB / Sumba , Løkin scored the 3-1. In 2007 he was able to celebrate his first championship. The players at the time were Jóhan Troest Davidsen , Hjalgrím Elttør , Jónhard Frederiksberg , Christian Høgni Jacobsen , Jens Martin Knudsen , Pól Thorsteinsson and Einar Tróndargjógv. In the following Supercup the cup winner EB / Streymur could be defeated 4-0. The game for the Atlantic Cup against the Icelandic champions Valur Reykjavík was lost 2-5. After the end of the season in 2009, he moved to Denmark to right to study. There he found a new club in December with BK Frem Copenhagen in the Viasat Sport Division and played there with his compatriot Jónas Þór Næs . After half a year and the established relegation to the third division, however, he returned to NSÍ Runavík., The following year he moved to ÍF Fuglafjørður . This year the runner-up could be achieved. In 2012, Løkin was only able to play half of all league games due to injuries and only returned to the team a good two years later, after briefly playing in the lower class for IF Føroyar in Denmark that same year. After a long break, Løkin made his comeback in the second half of the 2017 season and played a total of six games for the first and second team. Then he ended his career.

European Cup

Løkin was used seven times in European Cup matches. He made his debut in 2005/06 for NSÍ Runavík in the first leg of the first qualifying round in the 3-0 home defeat by Liepājas Metalurgs , when he came on in the 67th minute for Justinus Tróndargjógv . The second leg without Løkin's participation also ended 3-0.

National team

Together with Egil á Bø , Leif Niclasen and Andreas Olsen, Løkin made his debut for the Faroese national team on August 20, 2008 in the friendly against Portugal in Aveiro , when he came on for Bárður Olsen when the score was 2-0 in the 54th minute ( Final score 0: 5). This is the first time since joining FIFA in 1988 that father and son have played international matches for the Faroe Islands. Løkin became internationally known for his 1-0 win against Austria in Tórshavn on October 11, 2008 in the 47th minute (final score 1: 1). His father was one of the players in Landskrona in 1990 , in which the Faroe Islands unexpectedly won 1-0. The 2008 game was considered a remake of the classic, and since then father and son have been considered "national heroes". He played his last game on August 15, 2012 in the friendly against Iceland , which was lost 2-0 in Reykjavík . Løkin came on in the 80th minute when the score was 0: 1 for Daniel Udsen .
