Jóhan Troest Davidsen (born January 31, 1988 ) is a Faroese football player who plays for HB Tórshavn and the Faroese national team.

Davidsen started his career with NSÍ Runavík . Already at the age of 16 he completed the group games in the cup , his first competitive game, in which he came on for Rúni Rasmussen in the 86th minute , was lost 2-1 against B36 Tórshavn . His first league game for NSÍ he completed on the 1st match day against VB Vágur in the first division , which ended 1: 1. He came on in the 81st minute for Andy Olsen . He was then initially used for the second team in the third division, but was also substituted in in the cup final against HB Tórshavn , which was lost 3-1, and played the last two first division games from the start.
In his youth, Davidsen moved to the Icelandic club FH Hafnarfjörður , from where he in turn moved to the U-19s of Everton FC in England . After the Faroese could not prevail with the men from Liverpool , he was loaned to his home country in 2006 and played again for half a year at NSÍ Runavík, mainly in the first division. Then Davidsen was awarded for another six months to Skála ÍF , where he was one of the regular players. In early January 2007 he returned to Runavík, where he promptly became Faroese champions as a regular player. In early 2011 Davidsen moved to Aarhus Fremad in the Danish 2nd Division , but returned to HB Tórshavn in the Faroe Islands in the summer of 2012 . In 2013 he won his second championship together with Fróði Benjaminsen , Andrew av Fløtum , Christian Mouritsen and Símun Eiler Samuelsen, among others . In the Supercup 2014 HB lost to cup winner Víkingur Gøta 2-1, in the national cup final against the same opponent 0-1.
After moving to cup winner NSÍ Runavík in 2018, he lost the Supercup game on penalties against Víkingur Gøta.
European Cup
Davidsen has played 20 times in the European Cup. He played his first game in 2006/07 for Skála ÍF in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup in the home game against Start Kristiansand , which was lost 1-0. Skála was also defeated in the second leg, this time 3-0. Furthermore, he took 2008/09 NSÍ Runavík at the UEFA Champions League in some qualifiers. NSÍ was eliminated against Dinamo Tbilisi with a total of 1: 3, with the home game being won 1-0. He scored his only goal for HB Tórshavn in the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round to make it 1-1 in the away match against ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar . Davidsen went through the U-17 , U-19 and U-21 of the Faroe Islands before he made his debut for the national team on October 17, 2007 in the European Championship qualifier against Ukraine in Kiev , which was lost 5-0. Internationally, he has played 35 games for the Faroe Islands, on November 21, 2007, when he lost 3-1 in the European Championship qualifier against Italy, he prepared the 3-1 through Rógvi Jacobsen cross. His last appearance was in the World Cup qualifier against Switzerland in Tórshavn on June 9, 2017, which was lost 2-0. Davidsen was substituted on for Odmar Færø in the 70th minute .
