Bojszowy ( German Boischow ) is a village in the powiat Bieruńsko-Lędziński of the Silesian Voivodeship and the seat of the rural municipality of the same name .

history

In 1885 Boischow had 390 inhabitants and at that time it was part of the province of Silesia in Prussia, in the district of Pleß belonging to the administrative district of Opole . Between 1954 and 1972 the seat of the Gromada Bojszowy was in town.

politics

Community leader

The head of the municipal administration is the municipality leader . So far this has been Henryk Utrata. The regular election in October 2018 led to the following result:

  • Adam Duczmal (independent) 62.2% of the vote
  • Henryk Utrata (independent) 37.8% of the vote

Duczmal was able to prevail against the previous incumbent Utrata in the first ballot and became the new mayor.

Municipal council

The municipal council consists of 15 members and is directly elected in single-person constituencies. The 2018 city council election led to the following result:

  • Election committee “Closer to the residents” 38.6% of the vote, 6 seats
  • Election Committee “Local Administration” 32.1% of the vote, 4 seats
  • Electoral Committee "Krzystof Komandera - Independent Voters" 21.6% of the vote, 5 seats
  • Election Committee "Silesian Pierony" 5.8% of the vote, no seat
  • Remaining 1.9% of the vote, no seat
