Bokel is a district of the municipality of Ahlerstedt in the Stade district ( Lower Saxony ).

Bokel was probably founded as a colony between the villages of Ahlerstedt and Wangersen between the 15th century and the 17th century .

Before 1885, Bokel belonged to the Börde Ahlerstedt in the district of Harsefeld , after 1885 to the district of Stade and since 1932 to the current district of Stade .

From 1967 to July 1, 1972, Bokel was a member of the Ahlerstedt joint municipality , but was incorporated into Ahlerstedt on July 1, 1972 as part of the municipality reform in Lower Saxony .
