Ottendorf ( Low German Ottendörp ) is a district of the Municipality Ahlerstedt in the district of Stade ( Lower Saxony ). The village of Klethen also belongs to Ottendorf .

The floodplain flows through Ottendorf. An old army and pilgrimage route ( Via Romea ) leads past Ottendorf. Several boulders and a megalithic grave are set up on it. It was already used by Napoleon Bonaparte .

Ottendorf has been settled for over 4000 years; Neolithic tools and over 40 chicken graves were found.
Ottendorf was first mentioned in 1503 as Ottendorpe with five courtyards.
Regional affiliation
Before 1885 Ottendorf belonged to the Börde Ahlerstedt in the district of Harsefeld , after 1885 to the district of Stade and since 1932 to the current district of Stade .
From 1967 to July 1, 1972 Ottendorf belonged as part of the municipality Ottendorf-Klethen for joint community Ahlerstedt and was on July 1, 1972 at the course of municipal reform in Lower Saxony incorporated to Ahlerstedt.

The first men's team of the soccer club SV Ahlerstedt / Ottendorf has been playing in the six-class Lüneburg regional league since the 2017/18 season . The home games are played in the Stadion am Auetal (1500 seats) in Ahlerstedt.
