Boleslaw Schirtladse

Boleslaw Schirtladse (spelling in the World Athletics Boleslav Skhirtladze , Georgian ბოლესლავ სხირტლაძე ; born June 14, 1987 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian athlete . He is the holder of the Georgian record in long jump . At a height of 1.78 m, his competition weight is 60 kg.

National team

As a member of the Georgian national athletics team, he regularly takes part in the European team championships in the 3rd division (until 2008 European Athletics Cup in group B2), for example in Novi Sad in 2006 , in Banská Bystrica in 2008 , in Sarajevo in 2009 , in Marsa in 2010 and 2011 in Reykjavík both in the 4 x 100 meter relay and in the long jump. In 2009 in Sarajevo he received a bronze medal in the long jump.

On May 30, 2012, at an international meeting in Tel Aviv , which he won, he jumped to a distance of 8.12 m. This is a Georgian record. With this jump he exceeded the qualifying distance for the 2012 Olympic Games in London by 2 cm. His previous best distance was 7.77 m on October 9, 2011 in Tbilisi.
