Bonnie Strange (born July 5, 1986 in Berdsk , Soviet Union ; real name Jana Weilert ) is a German presenter , actress , musician and model .

Career

Jana Weilert came to Germany with her Volga German family from Siberia when she was two and grew up in Neuss . She attended the Elly-Heuss-Knapp vocational college in Düsseldorf . She then gained international modeling experience, worked for agencies in Athens, Paris and Istanbul as well as internationally as a successful photographer. Among other things, she was the face for the fashion company Pimkie . She also founded her own label The Shit Shop and ran a boutique in Berlin from 2012 to 2015.

Together with Marie Nasemann and Jackie Hide, she founded the band The Rio Girls, which broke up after two single releases due to internal difficulties.

2013 she appeared in the music video She Wants by WestBam with. In the same year she married the fashion blogger Carl Jakob Haupt ( Dandy Diary ) in Las Vegas . The marriage ended in divorce in April 2014.

In 2014, Bonnie Strange made her acting debut in the soap Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten , where she played the character of Kitty Rocket in a guest role. For almost two years she was one of the moderators of ProSieben magazine taff . With her band Grossraum Indie Fresse , she was able to place herself at number 49 in the Austrian single charts with the title Richtig Nice . She contributed the German title song for the new edition of the animated series Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network .

In 2018 and 2019 Bonnie Strange was seen in the music videos of UFO361 and Loredana .

In April 2019, Weilert was sentenced to pay 10,000 euros in damages to a fashion seller for insulting him on her social media channels. The seller had asked Weilert to pick up clothes she had put on the floor. In a video, Weilert then dubbed the seller as an “asshole” and “ungangled wanker”. She also asked her followers to "get the seller ready."

In August 2020, Weilert will present the erotic show Peep! For the 20th anniversary . on RTL II .

Private

On May 21, 2018, Strange had a daughter. The child's father is actor Leebo Freeman. Six months after the birth, she graced the cover of the German men's magazine Playboy .

Bonnie Strange has lived in Ibiza since 2018 and is one of the most successful German influencers with a million followers on Instagram. She also models for international campaigns such as Desigual , Lascana and MAC Cosmetics .
