Carl Jakob Haupt ( December 18, 1984 in Marburg - April 19, 2019 in Bad Saarow ) was a German blogger , artist, author and party organizer. He was best known through the blog Dandy Diary and his parties before the start of the annual Berlin Fashion Week .

life and work

According to his own statements, Haupt was born in Marburg, grew up in Schöneberg (Hofgeismar) and Kassel and, after graduating from high school, studied political science at the University of Kassel . He later moved to Hamburg to study and has been working with David Kurt Roth on his fashion blog, which he founded a year earlier , since 2011 . In 2012, the two of them produced the fashion porno Será el comienzo , which premiered in a Berlin sex cinema in Neukölln and received favorable reviews from the press.

From 2012, Haupt and Roth regularly organized an unofficial opening party for Berlin Fashion Week , which took place one day before the official opening and which had to be screened off by the police due to the massive influx of visitors. In 2013 he married the German presenter, actress and musician Bonnie Strange in Las Vegas . The marriage ended in divorce in April 2014. In 2018 he married the model Giannina Müller in Sicily. A year later, at the age of 34, he died with his family of complications from cancer .
