The Breitenbachtal nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the city of Monschau , west of Kalterherberg on the Belgian border.

Protection purpose

The aim is to preserve the habitat for the plants, fungi and animals endangered according to the Red List and to preserve and optimize the area as a biotope complex. The protected biotope types wet and humid grassland as well as lean grassland occur in the nature reserve.
