description
In the source area there are high moorland areas. A steep gradient, also in the side streams, gives the stream a cascading character in some places . Typical insect larvae indicate the high water quality. On the left, shallow slope of the valley near the bank there is a patchy stand of moor birch , the undergrowth consists of pipe grass , sedges , rushes and plenty of peat moss , in drier areas dwarf shrubs and bracken in places . In clearings of the woody stock there are extensive fallow areas of heather dominated by pipe grass and dwarf shrubs, on wet subsoil there are rushes of peat moss, bell heather , bog berries and an abundance of moor lilies . The standing boulders are covered with lichen and moss . In the lower reaches of the stream flows through pastureland. On dry wasteland dominated heather .
