description

Holderbachtal, Dürholderbachtal (sub-area Holderbachtal east of Rohren)

The area includes the Holderbach with some side valleys. In the valley floor, spruce forests alternate with mixed spruce and beech forests. Further down the stream is fallow grassland with sparse moor birches and gray willow stands. Natural fish ponds affect the area. The Naßgrünlabd dominates pipe grass and brown sedge . The stream bed is scree with rapids and pools . The good water quality is attested by many insect larvae and planarians . In the lower reaches also reeds and butterbur plants occur in places . The brook is often accompanied by trees along the banks of the alder . Natural fish ponds can also be found in the lower reaches. On the lower slopes there are still extensive, species-rich, mostly grazed areas of poor grassland. Will also come Bärwurz , Heilziest and arnica before (in the middle reaches).

Holderbachtal, Dürholderbachtal (sub-area Dürholderbach)

The deeply cut valley of the Dürholderbach begins with a spring basin. Here is an alder swamp forest on a very wet location. Some places are rich in peat moss with beak sedge and pointed flowering bulrush . The species-rich area drains into a small extinguishing water pond , which has a silting zone with an abundance of fever clover . The meadow is planted with spruce up to a small stream flowing in from the west. Remnants of fallow wetland and poor grassland, a Bärwurzwiese , have been preserved on the Sief , which extend as a narrowing band to the source area of the Sief .
