Brigitte Olive

Brigitte Olive (born March 4, 1971 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye ), married Brigitte Henriques , is a former French football player . After the end of her playing days, she started a second career as a football official and coach .

Club career

Brigitte Olive grew up with five soccer-loving brothers; Since she was twelve, she also played soccer for a club herself, with JS Poissy . From when the young people were used in the first women's team of the club, which from 1987/88 was regularly among the four best teams in France, is not clear from the sources used. However, she became a national player in 1988 (see below) . In the 1989/90 season at the latest , she was part of Poissy's core formation; this season the women managed to advance to the championship final, and striker Brigitte Olive was used in the final. In the national team

National coach Aimé Mignot called the 17-year-old Brigitte Olive in July 1988 for two A-internationals against Italy's B-Elf and the USA in the French A selection and considered them repeatedly in the episode. However, she only became an undisputed regular player from 1992, after her move to Juvisy FCF. In total, she has completed 31 international matches in the blue national dress, including not a single one against a woman from the German-speaking countries. She only scored two goals, but both of them were decisive. The first she succeeded in a friendship tournament in Varna against the USA (April 1990) and was the only goal of this game. The second in the European Championship qualifier against the Netherlands in April 1996 was their goal to 2-1 in the final minutes, which was synonymous with the final score and France's narrow victory. Brigitte Olive-Henriques gave birth to two daughters at the beginning of the 21st century. In addition, she worked in the division of the FFF in the Val-d'Oise department in the promotion of girls' football and completed her coaching diploma . She then became assistant coach to Gérard Prêcheur , head of women's football at the national football performance center in Clairefontaine . In the summer of 2009, Paris Saint-Germain FC hired her as general manager of its women's department. Twelve months later, the capital club won its first ever women's title with the national cup .

When the Fédération Française de Football carried out an association reform in the summer of 2011, the new President Noël Le Graët brought her into his leadership team for the Executive Committee and made her General Secretary of the FFF. In 2014 Brigitte Henriques was one of only three women in the two highest association bodies. Since then, she has been in charge of the development of French girls' and women's football (féminisation de football) , which has grown from 50,000 to 71,000 female footballers of all ages within three years thanks to a large number of activities - in particular through extensive cooperation offers for all schools and small amateur clubs and passed the 100,000 mark in 2016. In March 2017, Brigitte Henriques was elected Vice President of the FFF for four years.

In the fall of 2011, Henriques also started a degree in Manager Général de club sportif professionnel at the University of Limoges and successfully completed it in 2013.
