Brione sopra Minusio (abbreviated Brione s / M ) is a municipality in the Navegna district , in the Locarno district , in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland .

geography

The community is located above Minusio on the mountainside with a view of Lake Maggiore .

history

In the Middle Ages it formed a single municipality with Minusio. Today it still owns some properties together with Minusio and Mergoscia . In 1479 it became an independent municipality, but already in 1397 it formed a tenth circle with the two aforementioned municipalities and Contra . In 1313 it already had its statutes.
