Bruno Soriano Llido (born June 12, 1984 in Artana , Castellón ) is a Spanish football player who plays in the Primera División for Villarreal .

Player career

Bruno Soriano went through almost all of the youth teams at FC Villarreal before he led Villarreal B to promotion to Segunda División B in 2006/07 . On October 1, 2006, he played his first Primera División game in a 2-1 away win at RCD Mallorca . This season he was used twice more in the first team before he was finally promoted to the first division squad for the 2007/08 season and got his own fixed jersey number there. This season he also made his breakthrough with numerous appearances in the league, UEFA Cup and Copa del Rey .

In the 2009/10 season he was an undisputed regular player and displaced the Uruguayan Sebastián Eguren on the bench.

National team

In August 2010, Bruno played his first international match for the Spanish national team against Mexico . There he was in Spain's first game after the World Cup triumph until the 71st minute on the field before he was replaced by Pedro .

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Spanish squad. He made his first appearance in the second group game against Turkey, when he came on when he had a clear 3-0 lead. After that he was allowed to play a second time at the European Championships, in the last group game against Croatia he came into the game again in the last third.
