History and description

The village was sold by Württemberg to Vöhringen in 1482 and is believed to have fallen in desolation during the Thirty Years' War . In the 16th century the castle was owned by Stählin von Stockburg, in 1578 by von Stotzingen and in 1608 bought by the municipality of Vöhringen.

The castle site, to which only overgrown paths lead, only shows mounds of rubble and a small piece of wall.
