The Bernburg is the ruin of a medieval castle on the northern outskirts of Rottweil in the Rottweil district in Baden-Württemberg , Germany .

The castle was first mentioned at the beginning of the 13th century. It was owned by the Lords of Bernburg. It was destroyed in 1417.

The former castle complex was tripartite; it consisted of a front, middle and rear castle. Small remains of Bering and a tower of the front castle have been preserved.
