Busana ( Emilian : Buṣâna ; name of the inhabitants: Busanesi ) is a fraction and the seat of the municipality of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Ventasso in the province of Reggio Emilia , region Emilia-Romagna .
geography
The place is located about 42 kilometers south-southwest of Reggio nell'Emilia in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park at an altitude of 855 m slm on the orographic left side of the valley of the same name through which the Secchia flows.
history
Bussana was an independent municipality until 2015 and merged with the neighboring municipalities of Collagna , Ligonchio and Ramiseto on January 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Ventasso. The districts of Ca 'Ferrari, Casale, Cervarezza Terme, Frassinedolo, Marmoreto, Nismozza and Talada also belonged to the municipality of Bussana. The neighboring communities were Castelnovo ne 'Monti , Collagna, Ligonchio, Ramiseto and Villa Minozzo . The river Secchia formed the eastern boundary of the municipality.
